I ended up loving this challenge! I chose to transform my most real painting (and my business logo and main sample painting for my pet portraits) "proud little beagle" into this abstract. My goal was to capture that sweet begging look and convey that feeling to the viewer. It took me a few tries to loosen up with my sketches!
Very nicely done. Love how you've exaggerated the colours. And although it looks nothing like the original you can still see its a cute dog.
Wow @flippergirlpaints beautiful, love the colors, the realistic look of the puppy. Question how you add your drawing? I wanted to do same to mine but couldn’t.
Super done. I thought at first glance, reminds me of a dog. Cool, now I know why 😁👍🏼🇩🇪
Thank you Sandy!
Thanks Helen! I like when the painting evolves the way I had imagined it would. This one did, although some do not LOL!
Thank you Tanisha! The way to add photos - Go to your painting and you will see a button that says "add pictures". Click on that and it will let you pick a photo from your device (computer/phone) to upload.
Thanks Dirk! I am glad it was recognizable as a dog even though abstract🙂
So cool Pam. Very colorful and love the texture! This could be my dog as he’s missing half of his brain. ✌️😂
Thank you @fluppergielpaints I will do that.
Now that’s art! Very wonderful.
Thanks Brian! I used my long handle brushes and just "let it flow". I did notice the sharpness of the straight top of his head (like he lost the top LOL) but that is how it came out so I resisted the urge (hard to do) to "correct" it.
Thank you, Bob, for a great compliment!
Pam it’s wonderful, I love it just as you created it. I mess just kidding. ✌️🐶
Brian - I totally knew that No worries. It made me laugh for sure! Thx.
Beautiful.
Thanks a bunch Stephanie!
Great painting!
Love everything about this one. The colors, the abstraction to many rectangular pieces, yet retention of the principal subject. I'm persuaded!
Love this, he looks like a much loved toy
Thank you Tomi!
Aw thanks, Jon!
I agree, Terry - Thanks!
Great job and awesome use of complementary colors!
