16 x 20 in Acrylics again. THIS PAINTING HAS A STORY 🤗.
Earlier this year my family (we flip houses: buy, fix, sell) purchased my oldest son's best friend's mom's home after she unexpectedly passed away at only 58 years young. While cleaning out the garage, I came across a sketch book that she had apparently kept boxed away since 1992! This painting was created from one of her drawings (see attached pic). According to her son, she never drew or painted anything from that time (the 1990's) until her passing. I wanted to bring her drawing to life in color and share it because she never did.
Today happens to be my own mother's birthday, so completing it today was a little extra special!

Mama-horse looks really artistic! Colors combination is so appealing to me. I see you tried to loose edges between mama and baby. Maybe baby still want to grow to become look like mama. Interesting decision that baby looks like a part of mama.
I hope that your son's best friend will hang that painting in his house.
