A Michael James Smith tutorial. I am not a paid student of his classes, so I watched his time lapse YouTube video several times before painting. I decided part way in that my acrylics were a bit too thick for this under painting technique, as I use full bodied acrylic paints. Overall it was enjoyable to paint, and if I try another like this I will make some adjustments based on what I learned with this one. Also - I do not like the 2 rocks in the left foreground LOL. It is done on an 18x24 canvas, so it is an eye catcher for sure in person.
Super painting Pam! Those two rocks on the left are in the shadow and makes the other two rocks in the sunlight glow.
So nice, MJS is probably the best realism artist on the internet and you did a great job here
Awesome painting!
That looks incredible! You really captured the details of the scene!
Wow this is great, good job. Lots of detail.
Wow!
The effects on the water are really great. Great perspective looking into the distance.
Beautiful work Pam. Very realistic looking βοΈ
Thank you so much everyone, you guys are awesome!
Me luvs this scene Pam!Everything is beautifully created.I'm captivated by the reflections..Mesmorized by its seductive waters! Cheers my friend.Quite a triumph.
Really great job. Maybe consider making the reflection under the middle rock fuller so it doesn't look like the rock is floating out there. Maybe a little white ripple to separate the above water from the reflection below too. Hope this helps.
Very realistic,Pam. Top class ππΌπ©πͺ
