A new painting technique inspired by Canadian artist Tim Packer. You can easily do an online search for him and his process. Starts with a red (acrylic) canvas and a (black) gesso underpainting of the major trees + branches. The sky is accomplished by painting in the negative spaces.
I enjoyed the process somewhat but I do not think I will continue with it at this time. I do think the effect of the sunlight worked very well.
Wonderful job Pam! Looks terrific!
Thank you Pietro and Sandy!
Very nice work. Cool scene ππΌπ©πͺ
I like the effects overall. The sky is unique and quirky and unexpected. I saw the yellow in the back as distant trees.
thanks Dirk!
thanks Rebecca. Yes the yellow in the distance are trees so I am glad that translated to the viewer!
What a beautiful and striking painting! The colors and contrasts are so remarkable, and your twig/branch effects are amazing.
I love the color choices! Stunning!
Much appreciated Kerri and Stephanie!
