Original Creation

Sinoceratops (an "imaginary pet" portrait)

flippergirlpaints 07 Dec 2021

My son requested this portrait of his "imaginary pet" (LOL). This one was a fun challenge! I got to use a lot of artistic license since no one REALLY knows what it looked like.

Also uploading pics of the stages of this portrait. I take these stage photos of all of my pet portraits and I thought these in particular were a great example of my technique.

Thanks Sandy!
Thanks Sunnylady - He loves it! You would think is is a "youngster" but he is 24 (LOL) and has been captivated by dinosaurs since he was young and still is!
Thanks Matt! Yes it does 🙂although my son "schooled" me that Sinoceratops and Triceratops are not the same. Haha!
Thanks Dracula!

Great “pet”! I wanted a Triceratops for a pet as a kid. The closest I ever got was a Horny Toad! Imagine that..lol

Thanks Brian! My 3 boys collected toads (probably about 80!) one summer and kept them in an empty 55 gallon fish tank - until some of them escaped!! I'll bet I found dead toads in corners of the house for months! YUK! 🤣🤣

Voy Kay Conqueror of Challenges

Another stunning beauty from you Pam! WAW, Jurassic park VI producers might contact you for using this creature into the franchise.
This looks so alive, I fell it can snort at any time and turn its head towards the viewer.

Love the stage photos as well, really educational!
