I wanted to do something that would cause me stretch my skill set. This is my first attempt at doing a "fantasy" painting. Sorry, no dragons, muscular men and women wearing wolf skin garments. I really enjoyed moving through this piece. I used three reference photos to put it together. I did learn something......unless hit directly, fish and other aquatic life forms are not injured by lightening.

Very cool! I can see the Bill Alexander style influence. Such a great ship and overall a great composition! The water (and sky) has so much depth with the varying lights and darks. Super job on the lightning as well.
