This painting began 2 weeks ago. I started with a plan and then a family issue distracted me. By the time I got back to it I forgot what the plan was. Threw a tree in and called a day. Oh well.
There is depth Brian. No interest whatsoever.
When I get distracted from a painting I usually don't continue it. Painting frees my thoughts, that's why I do it - just to reduce the stress from my job, but if I am distracted in the process I normally do not continue and either give it to waste or if I can re-use the surface I painted on I do that.
Just tell you my opinion.
I agree with Brian, the layers of trees in behind are very nice and give a good depth.

Lots of greatness into this compo. As everyone said, the layering is perfect. I really like the different greens you have on there.
It has such a great potential for some additional details Tomi! Don't give up on it just yet. Put it away and at some point, inspiration will come. I have done that in the past. Sometimes, time isn't on my side to do a full painting, but a project like would allow me to paint regardless. It also could be a great canvas to practice something you always wanted to try painting or get better at.
