Way back in Feb. 2019, some bar I was at was playing Bob Ross videos on YouTube. I thought it looked like fun and so, at 41 years old, I bought the BR starter kit on a whim. I chose "Portrait of Winter" (S24E11) because it had a simple color palette and, long story short, I made it through my first attempt at visual art since grade school. In so doing, I discovered a hobby that would set me off on my own art adventure as I branched out from Bob-style landscapes to various styles and subjects. For my 100th painting, I knew I wanted to use the same color palette and techniques as before, but try to apply some of the lessons I've learned since. It's been a minute since I've used the ol' 2-inch brush and Bob Ross brand palette knife, but they sure came in handy here.
