A cover of Jesper Myrfors’ Bayou for Magic: The Gathering. I mainly kept to the Pthalo Green palette just using sap green, pthalo blue, some cad yellow, and black and white. The fireflies were fun to do.
I can't comment on painting willows, but I think this turned out very nice. One of my sons plays Magic: the Gathering. I looked up this image and I like your interpretation and the added fireflies. I would think it to be easily recognizable to anyone who plays.
