A Faint Resemblance

jeremiah11719 28 Feb 2021

This was meant to be a photorealism submission but I never really got into it. It was a massive stretch for me and I've not tried anything like it before. With little idea what techniques would actually work, I tried anyway. Quite the challenge.

By the way, the title "A Faint Resemblance" is simply a lucky grab. The title of the photo I painted from is "A Faint Resemblance". How fitting!

You have created the most eerie atmosphere. It's just amazing.

I gave not attempted ice yet, but what I saw that color is mix of phtalo green and blue and titanium white to get that turquoise type of colors. I think you have a great start for building up. Indigo color would be a good choice to make reflections and shadows. You can mix indigo yourself: phtalo blue and any black you have.
