I got the idea to this painting from Diane Andre she was one of Bills Alexander students.

Very nice imposing trees. What did you use for those background trees? great texture, it almost looks like sponge work or scrunched tin foil.
TheLandscapePainter, i used 1 inch brush full of paint and simply touched the canvas gently.

Tom0779, its wet on wet oil painting technick there is 3 layers of paints that why it looks a little different.
Great painting! Lovely texture of the trees and great colors to show light and shadow. Nice shadow from the trees in the front. Also nice planes created to show some depth.
