11" x 14" oil on canvas. This was going to be a seascape, but about halfway down the canvas, I wiped off the resulting mess and opted for a happier alpine vista. The more mountains I do, the teenier the roll of paint on the knife. Thanks for visiting!
Super Jon, really like the trees and rocks ✌️
Top , Great rocks 👍🏼🇩🇪
Happy accident! Turned out great!
Beautiful!
Thanks, all!
One "happy accident" was the ground. Leftover pale blue from the initial wipe-out ultimately made for hollows or "sunlit" areas in the meadow by selective touching with the fan brush and some dark color (from prussian blue, VD brown, SAP green).
The rocks were a minor adventure. First failed attempt at highlights was scraped off. Like the mountains, the tiniest amount of marbled highlight paint on the knife edge (and no pressure) gave the desired result.
