Glowing Sky - Anastasia Mily

I've always been a fan of (painting) dramatic skies, so this excercise (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98ljNzxk0Yc) was a good one to try in watercolor. Starting with preserving the white of the paper for the highlights of the clouds, bringing in the yellow and sienna and making the clouds darker and darker with blue, violet and grey. Then softening the bottom of the sky and the clouds, as much as possible. Finally bring in the hills and trees and dotting the i's by painting the birds to make the scene complete. On W&N paper of 29,7 x 21 cm (A4 format) and immediately ready to frame (see second picture).
