Original Creation

Moonlight Seascape - Paul Ranson

joha59 13 Mar 2023

An amazing painting from Paul Ranson, thanks again Dirk for sharing, on black canvas covered with liquid clear and pr.blue. The painting is done with a very small amount of only three colors: pr.blue, white and yellow and most parts are subdued painted with the fanbrush and blended with a 1 inch brush, I mostly used a very small make-up brush for that. On canvasboard 30 x 24 cm.

Hey Jos, absolutely well done. You can be really proud of thatπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜Ž( for blending i use a brush with Goathair )

Gorgeous! So well done!

Very nice Jos - I love the look of the limited palette paintings.

Super work Jos!

Great job Jos! It’s gorgeous!!! 🀩

Looking very good. <3
And I just looked up Paul Ranson on Youtube. Good stuff!
From what I've seen so far he uses very little paint. That does explain the soft look he has going in hsi paintings. Loving it!

Thank you all for the encouraging comments, Dirk (I also have a goathairbrush), Sandy, Tony (yes only 3 colors), Tom, Nancy and Titia (indeed, he uses a very small amount of paint)!
I was something forgotten: the thin line under the foam, I will do that tomorrow, I think!

Very good

Good Morning Jos , i think ist Looks Great without the thin line 😎

Thank you Coldetel, and Dirk, I think I leave it so, thanks for the advice.

What is your next Project ?😎

Haha Dirk, no idea yet, maybe Black River, or this seascape on other format (18x13 or 40x30) with maybe different colors, still investigating, yours?

I'll take a closer look at Justin Wozniak. I like his relaxed approach
Maybe another seascape. He has some with a very nice sky
