This beautiful scene is taken from a picture I saw online from a Bill original. Actually the title was not mentioned, but they called it a mountain landscape. I immediately recognized Bill's style in the cabin and other parts of the scene as f.i. the dark clouds. I normally like painting from a tutorial the most. I simply have more trust about a good result, but I had to try this one without tutorial or knowledge about used colors. If the result is ok, I leave to your comments! The evergreens were done with upward strokes, just as Bill mostly did. The stones were done with the Bob double loading technique. I did it today, on wallpaper of 40 x 30 cm, the first painting of 2026, I wish you all a lot of painting joy for the new year!
Beautiful scene! Love the misty areas, very well done!
So pretty and serene!
Nice start to the year
Really beautiful!
Great job Jos! The Bob rocks work well with the birches too. Love it βοΈ
Thank you very much for your comments Dirk (yeh that roof is typical Bill), Sandy, Stephanie, Rebecca, Chris and Brian!
I can tell this one is a Bill Alexander! Great job on it - so serene, even with those stormy clouds brewing. Wonderful colors!
Thanks Pam, glad to read you like it, I was not unsure about this was a Bill original, but the title is unknown to me and also when it was made.
Very good interpretation. Awesomely painted!
Thank you very much Tom!
