Another episode (no 4) from the new season 33 of the Joy of Painting with Nic Hankins. This seascape differs from others I have done: the size of the canvas (width was 2x height), the colors for the water (pr. blue and vd.brown) and the small part reserved for the wave. It was a real challenge to try, I did it on wallpaper of 40 x 20 cm.
I really like the elongated shape for seascapes, it's more like the real thing than anything else I can think of. Nice work Jos.
