It was a rainy day here and I had some time over to paint another episode (3rd) of the Joy of Painting season 33 (or 2 from Nic) where not so many colors were needed. The part I liked the most was painting the snowy land under the trees with just one stroke and a lot of white on the brush going over the whole canvas starting far away and coming closer and closer. I did this painting again on thick white paintable wallpaper with two layers of white gesso prepared with a paint roller, it gives some texture and makes it easier to get the paint break on the mountain, the size was 40 x 30 cm.
A real beauty, love the trees.
Soft and beautiful. Nice work!
Gorgeous composition! Those look like perfect examples of my favorite treeβ¦the eastern white pine. And the mountain is perfect!
Great job. Very well painted!
Thank you all for your nice comments Dirk, Helen, Jon, Larson and Tom!
Looks beautiful! I especially like the bends in your tree trunks; my imagination tells me wintry blizzards shaped them over the years π
Yeh, you are right Kerry, thank you!
