This is in a tonal impressionist style inspired by Stuart Davies. This was my first attempt at this style and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Putting on white clouds with the pallet knife before blending works extremely well.
Stuart davies is one of my favourite artists, just love his free and easy approach, ive seen him paint this scene and you have done it justice here....well done!
I agree with @tel, Stuart Davies is great to watch and I think you did a great job capturing his kind of low horizon/dramatic sky approach. Great sense of distance. Well done!
