I was commissioned to do a painting for someone as a tribute to their late grandfather, and they requested a floral scene. I decided to give Bob’s floral paintings a try, something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, so I followed some Painting With Yovette videos on YouTube (shoutout to Yovette btw she’s an amazing and talented teacher and the kindest person in the world!) This is 100% out of my usual style, so to try something completely new like this was quite an experience. I definitely felt a difference in the flow of the painting process since these florals are a lot looser. Definitely going to give more of these a try :)
Ah yeah I love Lowell!! Some of his scenes are definitely in my to do list
