Note: A brighter version of the painting is attached. I have a tough time with glare.

My younger brother Terry, among us four boys, was the one who displayed the greatest potential to become a future rancher. Whether he was shadowing his dad or accompanying his grandpa, Terry eagerly absorbed every bit of knowledge he could. This allowed him to closely observe the various tasks that needed to be accomplished on a ranch. One of these tasks involved digging deep holes, approximately 4 feet in depth and 12 inches in diameter, to place center posts. While it may sound simple, the ranch's rocky terrain made it a challenging and time-consuming endeavor. On this particular occasion, Terry was there to assist his grandpa. He mostly stayed out of the way, engrossed in playing with his Tonka bulldozer toy. Grandpa managed to dig three or four holes for the new center posts before taking a break and returning home for lunch. He entrusted Terry to enjoy himself in the Sheep Shed while he was away. However, when Grandpa returned to the Sheep Shed later to set the posts, he was dismayed to discover that all the holes he had previously dug had been filled back in.

So cute and funny. I imagine that story has been told many times over the years and put smiles on people's faces, especially your brother's. No doubt a very fond memory. I can imagine the look on Grandpa's face. Good jobπŸ‘
