Iโm obsessed with skies lately. Bill really did a nice job with this one.
I didn't know the episode, but it looks good,Bob ๐๐ผ๐ฉ๐ช
Nice work Bob!
Wicked cool sky and great reflections!
It caught my eye due to the colors and looks on my screen like this is green-orange complimentary scheme.
My comment here since you are onto skies lately: if you squint your eyes sky is the lightest value in the landscape. My screen shows that clouds are lightest value in here, but they in fact need to be darker just a bit than the sky. Check it out tonight around sunset time in your geography what value relations between land, sky and clouds.
If you do not mind me asking what pigments were used for the clouds? I am asking coz it maybe pure visual perception thing and called simultaneous contrast.
Hi Sunnylady! This is exactly the kind of feedback Iโm looking for to help me improve! See attached updated painting.
Well itโs too big so I guess Iโll repost.
Do you want me to post a temporarily article for you - so you can analyze things in regards to Value relations? I got some time and did some edits and converted to B&W for you, if you are interested. ( now i have to do the same with one of my paintings where i feel stuck and cannot unstuck for last few weeks).
Thanks SunnyLady, but Iโm good. I did the B&as conversion myself and understand what you mean. I tried to lighten the sky and darken did clouds. I kinda ruined the whole thing so I set it aside in my reclaim canvas pile.
No problems! thanks for inspiring me to go to troubleshoot my own painting!
