This painting began nearly 10,000 feet above sea level, high in the Teton Mountains. The hike to reach this waterfall was no easy stroll β thin air, steep climbs, and a trail that felt more like a suggestion than a path. But then, tucked into the granite and pine, I found this cascade.
The water didnβt just fall β it tumbled in layered steps, each drop adding to a roar that filled the valley. I stood there, catching my breath, listening to the endless rush, feeling the cool spray on my skin.
Back in the studio, I chose to warm the granite and deepen the greens, not to change the truth of the place, but to share the way it felt in that moment β alive, wild, and impossible to forget
Thanks Steph!
That's super successful. Great rocks and the trees look realistic. Very cool ππΌπ©πͺπͺ
