Original Creation

Barton Fink

tholmes79 31 Jul 2022

12”x16” oil on canvas. A scene from the 1991 film Barton Fink. A few months ago I was at an exhibit where Bob Dylan had his paintings on display and he had a series where he paused movies and painted the scenes. I thought of that fun idea when I was watching this movie the other day.

Amazing job! The folds on the fabric give it so much depth.

Rucifi one from a horror movie would work lol.
I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie above but it has some horror elements to it.

Yes, it’s funny because I help paint our local haunted house for our 4-h horse and pony kids ha ha and have painted in inks, a lot of acrylics, and house paints.

Nice! I remember my dad and his friends making the haunted houses for our school when I was a kid. So fun.

Lovely flesh tones and detail in this - haven't seen the movie but now I am googling.....
