This is an 4x8 piece of 100lb cardstock that I applied gesso to and then used it for practice. Much cheaper than canvas or even my goto canvas embossed papers. I would suggest using small brushes but the techniques work the same.. just scaled down. The knife is awkward at this scale.. my mountains show that.
