THis started as a practice image. I had painted it grey gesso and then did some blocking /outlining but hated the way it went. I hate throwing away materials.. so I thought about it now that I had a grey canvas with burt sienna blocking on it :/ I decided to go back to some Bob Ross with liquid white to practice some sky. Then came the clouds and I decided I couldnt have clouds without some water. The typical smooth BR water didnt "fit" so I went off and tried to practice some different water with waves and tones. Now I need a boat so something.. I think.. I'm letting it sit for a few days while I mull it over :) And yes,, I'm using blues that are not part of Bob's normal palette of colors.
Love the soft sky and purple tones in the water.
