When I was a kid I loved watching Bob on TV create beautiful works of art in a short time. I thought when I grow up I want to try that. Fast forward 35+ years later , my husband bought me all the supplies to get started in late 2020.

In the beginning ,I was filled with self doubt. I thought how can I create anything worth looking at when I have trouble drawing a straight line. I just kept telling myself what Bob said "Talent is a pursued interest". I have to say to was a giant learning curve on how to use the brushes, apply the liquid medium, how much paint to use, perspective, colors ( how they can
make or break your painting) ect...

About 6 months in to painting I found this website . I have learned so much from this talented community. I want to thank all the people who took the time to explain what colors they used, how they created their artwork, and posting their work in progress pictures. It has helped me tremendously.

I am happy I finally had the courage join this awesome community. For all the beginners Please remember what Bob Ross said "Talent is a pursued interest". Each painting you create you will learn something which can be applied to the next.
