Sunset Oval

Mgiese84 10 Jan 2022

Today was finally the day I got to Sunset Oval. Rather than change the mountain highlights to correct for the light source I opted to change the light source itself. I appreciate Sunny & Voy pointing this out on the forum. The border was a pain too just like it looks FYI 😀.

Super job! You already answered the question I was going to ask.

A great idea to change the lightsource!
Another great recreation of 'Sunset oval', already 13 artists took this one on and I can't say there is any weak version amongst them.

Those dead trees really work here and fit in well. I myself was afraid my background would be ruined by it/them but your mountains and red tree do hold the stand Matt!

Voy, like Bob says about those trees they are your bravery test 😀

Oh wow, this is spectacular. I loved the colors and layout of this one myself - fabulous work

Thanks Kaylee! Yours was fabulous too 😀

Thank you Matt! Might I ask, how did you get such a perfect oval? I am so envious

I used masking tape on this one. I think the contact paper would have been tough here. Once it dries I'm going to smooth it out with some white acrylic paint.

It looks really good. I have tried using spray adhesive on contact paper which works nicely, though you have to go back and use paint thinner to clear off the residue. Worth it, but still challenging to do by yourself, I needed an extra set of hands. I thought there was someone here who printed out some on vinyl stickers. Either way I usually pass on the borders. I love the look - you are making me think now!! Thanks Matt
