I might be cheating a bit because I'm uploading this painting again. I really wasn't happy with northern lights in this painting so I painted them over with black gesso and painted them again. I really love them now. I also added some highlights to the evergreens but I think I used a bit too much of phthalo green so they look kind of radioactive now. Oh well. I might mute them a bit some other time. All in all I like the painting much better now.

Your lights are very fluid with lots of movement, just as they should be! not sure what effect adding gesso over oil will have in the long term. Somebody else here might know.
