Northern Lights

infrasteve 07 Feb 2022

The first couple of paintings I ever did were following along to Bob's videos. After that, I started following more traditional techniques, but I painted this on my 1-year anniversary of picking up the ol' 2-inch brush (my first was "Portrait of Winter") as an homage to Bob. Didn't follow along to a video for this one, but I did use Bob's techniques throughout. The moon was a happy accident after a speck of paint from the star-splatter method landed a little too globby. Also my first time painting on a black canvas, which I really enjoyed and have done a few times since.
