Peaceful Haven

Mgiese84 07 Jun 2022

Finally was able to get another one done after a few day hiatus. I did this in the Wisconsin cutout because it is a gift for a very good friend of mine. Plus I think the scene does remind me a lot of Wisconsin too.

Very pretty! Did you make the shape yourself or did you purchase something that would give it this shape? It’s a very cool idea and makes me want to do something in the shape of michigan now!

Thank you much. I actually made the shape myself out of cardboard. I’ve done a few different states now.

So do you lay the stencil over contact paper and then cut the shape out before putting the paper on the canvas?

Yep. Exactly

Thanks Daniel! My buddy loved it so much he actually shed a slight tear.

That’s awesome Matt :) that’s the best reward you can get. Giving something out of love and leaving a lasting impact.

Hi Matt, just a general question, what brand of paint are you using, your colors seem very vibrant.

Hey Ben, I use a combination of either Windsor Newton Winton oils or the Bob Ross oils. Whichever is cheaper when I go to buy them :-)
