A Mild Winter's Day

joha59 31 Dec 2022

With 15 degrees in the heart of winter, the title of this scene speaks about the circumstances here, but without the overwhelming colors in this picture, which should not be on a list of most avoided paintings of this year. So I did an attempt and it was not as difficult as expected, because I always want the snow to be as white as possible, but as soon the snow has fallen the influence of nature is there with movements of animals and people but also is affected by the temperature and light reflections. Because water first lets snow melt, the shoreline is very soon a mess, which is an excuse for my shortline, which was for me the most difficult part of this beautiful scene. I wish you all a good health and a lot of Joy of Painting moments for 2023 and I hope and expect that our shared paintings will be an inspiration for each other!
