Mountain Challenge

flippergirlpaints 19 Jan 2023

I very much enjoyed painting this with the palette knife only! I feel like a tiny bit of liquid clear would have made it a little easier to blend out and not use so much paint. I chose portrait orientation just to be different. Be really good friends with your knife before giving this one a go. The bonus is no brush washing!

Really well done Pam :) I love the idea of just using the knife. Sure makes cleanup easier for one. But also you get to just focus on the artistic side of each scrape, blend, and smudge with the knife. Your creativity comes through. Beautiful!

Beautiful work Pam! I really like the knife paintings too.

Super job. Not an easy one

Really good job with that knife!!

Well done Pam. I especially like the light green area below the mountain. It gives the picture a lot of life. I think using of the clear is a very good idea. I think this was introduced later on in the series so a lot of the early episodes would really have needed it.

Thank you Matt and Sandy and Tom!

Terrific job on this, Pam! I like your decision to orient as portrait. I plan to give it a whack starting with a very thin coat of liquid clear; this helped me on an earlier knife-only painting.
