Island in the Wilderness

Ninoum 09 Feb 2023

I saw Bob painting this one right before I decided to start painting September of last year. So when I put my hands on the book of that series, I wanted to paint this one first.

I appreciate that Bob didn’t put any Alaskan mountains on this one. I really like the Appalachian style in the background. It put more focus on the island in the “mid ground”.

Very nice work Nancy. I especially like your liner brush work.

The evergreens are so good. Did you just barely use the “spattering “ technique on the island Nancy?

Thank you my friend Dirk! Yes, that little island would be a great hangout place!

I feel the fever for the Super Bowl everywhere tho, I don’t watch it anymore. But I like how it feels almost like a holiday

Thank you Tommy! 😊

Thank you Tom! Those small details from that liner brush are so much fun to do! Always looking forward to that part!

Thanks B! I did use the splattering technique on the island. Great Observation!

I did use some of the tips from Dracula's "Evergreens" article. It helped my technique some.
