Final Embers of Sunlight

Super fun one to do! I had a black 11”X14” canvas laying around so I went for that beautiful painting.

wow, this is gorgeous!

Thank you very much Jessie! I you haven’t done it, I recommend this one. Bob had it in an oval. But due to the small size of my canvas, I refrained from it.

Wow Nancy , i Love these trees . Super 👍🏼😎

Thank you my friend! I keep praying and sending the best vibes your way!

Bonjour mon amie. If you give up, you can never win, thank you very much Nancy👊🏼😎

Super work. I also like that you skipped the oval here. This is such a nice scene it deserves a full canvas. I put this up on my list if I find some time I will do this for sure.

That is sooooo true my friend! Love your philosophy. If I was around I would come help you. Let me know if there is anything I can do from here.

Thank you Tom! You are so right about the full canvas size for this one. It’s such a pretty scene that the oval kinda kills the composition. Can’t wait to see your version! I am sure it will be outstanding.

Awesome job Nancy. The mostly green painting scare me a bit. I envision a big green mud mix if I do one. LOL

Thank you Tony! I can understand your hesitation. It’s all about making small variation of greens. For the grass, the top part of that particular area is always lighter and as you bring is lower/down give less pressure to give a darker look or it will naturally pick up the darker color you may have applied on the canvas prior to starting your painting. . When you start the next area, start it in the darker area of the grass above it and vary your color a little. When you’re done with them all, think where the light would “zing” like Bob would say and apply a tad, a very small amount of highlight on the top of some of your grassy areas. Hope I make sense.

Really beautiful painting,,,love the subtle changes in the greens!

Beautiful 😍

Thank you so much Sandy. That’s really what’s it’s all about… the subtle changes in the greens.

Thank you so much Niv! ☺️
