Honestly, I think it's awful. I posted it so I will always have it to look back at my beginning. I do plan on trying it again in a few weeks. 3 month progress check.
Good idea but I think you’re being too harsh. Perhaps it looks less impressive in reality but I really like the soft light you’ve captured and the drape of the foliage.

I think this is beautiful and would never pick it as a first painting. You’ve done an incredible job!. You’ve got great tone and light and have captured the misty atmosphere very well. Did you surprise yourself with this first piece?
