Mountain Oval

TonyM 04 May 2022

My first attempt at creating an oval. I think I nailed the shape of the oval for sure. I used a cheap canvas, and did not apply gesso so I had a bit of oil seepage under the tape as the canvas soaked up a bit of oil from the liquid white. Lesson learned - apply 2 coats of gesso before taping off oval. I touched up the seepage with liquid white, which seemed to work quite well. In the future, I'll be able to use the gesso for any final touchups as needed since the canvas will already be gessoed in exact same shade.

I have to admit, these are my best mountains yet!! My bushes still need work.

18x24 canvas. Painting #27 in my awesome Bob Ross experience. I am really enjoying the journey.

As always, constructive comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking, I appreciate you all.
