A Pretty Autumn Day

TonyM 27 Jan 2023

1/26/2023 A Pretty Autumn Day #3 - s24e5

My version #1 and #2 of this painting were both claimed by friends, so I got a chance to paint it again.

I really stink at painting mountains with the light shining from the left for some reason. Painting a brown mountain just seems to compound the problem.

I am going to paint an entire 18x24 canvas board with brown mountains (maybe a row of gray) with the light coming from the left. Like Bob always says practice, practice, practice. Bob use to practice mountains like this when he first started using a 30" by 40" canvas, filling it with mountains. He would then scrape off the canvas with a big scraper and do it all over again.

18x24 canvas. Painting #78 in my awesomely fun Bob Ross experience. (fun fact: 28 of these are original compositions, rest are mainly Bob Ross paintings). Never created a painting in my life before Feb 1, 2022. I am really enjoying the journey.

As always, your comments and suggestions (especially suggestions) are welcome.

I am including my previous versions of this painting for reference.
