Misty Waterfall

TonyM 05 Aug 2022

Painted on 7/28/22 Misty Waterfall - s7e6 (Version 2)

I think the side tall leaf trees may be my best ever. I said this before, moving water is not as easy as it looks.

This painting is #3 of the next 4 where I am concentrating on bushes and using bright colors. I am using the radiant colors by Gambin for the brightly colored bushes.

18 X 24 canvas. Painting #39 in my awesomely fun Bob Ross experience. Never created a painting in my life before Feb 1, 2022. I am really enjoying the journey.

As always, constructive comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking, I appreciate you all.

Tony, great effort to overcome the challenge with bushes. If you don’t mind just a general advice - take an egg lit from one of the sides, use pencil to draw. Now imagine you have egg shaped bush lit from the Same side. Light distribution will be the same as on the egg. You just need to add texture. Try to do it with pencil as well and it will be the key to master you bushes. Most shapes in nature are some sort of an egg/sphere and there are certain shadow/light distribution to follow that makes it 3D when we paint.
