Triple View

TonyM 14 Dec 2022

12/14/22 - Triple View (s10e11) [Bob's version attached for reference]

I wanted to try another 'window' painting this go round so I decided on Bob's Triple View from s10e11.

I changed a few things from Bob's version:

I painted a completely different sky.

I moved to mountains back in the distance , added a bit more complexity to the mountain, and added a couple of footy hills. I really like the way the footy closest to the mountain came out. REALLY happy with the mountain.

I changed up the lay of the land a bit, added a couple of bushes in the foreground and the 2 large evergreens on the right.

Considering I have very limited experience with structures, the barn does not look too bad. I am happy with the color, but as you can see the shape or perspective seems off a bit. I think that will improve with experience.

I am super happy with the masking of the frame and the curved tops to each frame. Only minimal touchup was required due t bleed under the tape. The frame was painted with a tinted gesso before hand.

18x24 canvas. Painting #67 in my awesomely fun Bob Ross experience. (fun fact: 26 of the 66 are original compositions, rest are mainly Bob Ross paintings). Never created a painting in my life before Feb 1, 2022. I am really enjoying the journey.

My standard photography disclaimer: As usual picture quality kinda sucks and the painting is much sharper when looking at it.. Still not good at photographing my paintings. I just can't seem to get the camera to focus correctly.

As always, constructive comments/feedback are welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking, I appreciate you all.
