got into some mud mixing. still trying to figure out thickness of my paint, especially with the snow in the foreground. Should it have been thick or very thin? mine was thin and it seemed to just mix into the purple laid down earlier.
thank you for the input Centurion. Will apply your thoughts to the next ones!

Great first effort. For the snow in the foreground, I did a very thin coat of purple just to give it a bit of a background and used quite a bit of thick white paint on the brush to be able to pull it around and shape it. I uploaded my version if you want to take a look. I have found that generally when I get some "mud mixing" it is because there is not enough paint on the brush and so you push hard to get the paint on the canvas and that is what mushes it (or you have thinned it out to much and there is too much thinner or liquid white in there).
