I have completed the books for series 10–23 and thought I would go back an start at the beginning and get the first nine series taken care of before pressing ahead. I like the look of these early episodes. They are more rugged (and there's not an oval stencil anywhere in sight). I was particularly happy to try this one as it is just a humble outdoor trail instead of a grandiose Alaskan mountain vista (which I also like, of course). I do wish I had taken more time and was more careful to keep the colors muted and naturalistic, but live and learn.
