4th painting & 1st black canvas painting. It was a bit of work to get that thick Alizarin Crimson to cover the canvas. I didn't intend for background to be at some horizontal level so it lost a some depth there probably. I haven't got the hang of "form" and "shape", especially for trees and that 1" bruch (or the 2" one really). Path highlight broke nicely though. Overall really fun to do.
@johnnyandviki, I wouldn't suggest adding thinner. I'd be afraid it wouldn't provide the slick (oil) surface underneath plus it would dry faster. I would first add small amount of Liquid Clear, wipe with paper towel, then add the color. It will go on much easier but preserve the wet-on-wet properties needed. If you find a better way, feel free to let me know.

I had a hard time putting the crimson my first black canvas too. I'm thinking adding thinner till it's the consistency of magic white in the future. I think it would use less paint too. I think your painting is great for first black canvas.
