Newbie. Following Bob Ross is great. The challenge I'm finding with oil painting is putting the lighter colors on top of the darker colors, I'm exploring thinning out the lighter color paint with turps.

Thank you. No, I haven't done a lot with painting. I'm just super impressed with Bob Ross style painting and the calmness he brings, I'm hoping to continue painting in this style as it is very enjoyable. Thanks again for the feedback.

Welcome to TIB. From your description, I'm assuming you've painted with watercolors previously. This is very different. You will adjust quickly. Nice first painting.
