Fisherman's Trail - Joy of Painting s28e1 - Version 3

I'm on a roll here. This is #3 of the 4 canvases I prepared with the 'woodgrain effect' that Bob uses in his original.

Here is some info I copied from my prior post describing the wood effect process:

"The wood effect background of this one really intrigued me, but I was always apprehensive to give it a shot. Well today was the day. I figured my first attempt would be a total botch job.

I was quite surprised at how easy the background is to create. The wood background took about 15 minutes to create. On a side note, I mixed up way too much brown color, so I prepared 3 more canvases of various sizes for future paintings.

I quickly found that the paint is much wetter after creating this effect, and my best course of action was to let the canvas dry for a couple days, re-apply the liquid clear, and then continue on to create the actual painting."

This was incredibly fun to paint and I am truly experiencing the 'Joy of Painting' lately.

18" x 24" canvas. As always, your comments (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
