Normally I skip the Q&A episodes, but to complete this season (still wondering why this is not a challenge for badges on this site and you nowhere can see you completed a season or more) I had to do it and I did it today and I must admit that Bob creates a beautiful scene in a very short time; can't get enough of mountains and reflections. I also realised that I still do a lot of things Bob said not to do: using therpentine (I use an odorless version of it), painting on canvasboards (I do, but with some extra layers of gesso), brushcleaning with soap and water (I do for some brushes, not the Bob ones, which I almost never use: I ruined the first 1-inch brush I had with soap and water). When he tells to use very firm paint, I never forget after buying my first basic set of Bob Ross paint, the white came out very thin with drops of oil leaving the tube, I could paint no cloud with it. I felt a bit sorry for Steve during the video, he only reads some questions from paper, while daddy 'steals' the show. Bob had to put in reflections where he already painted some bushes, so the water is more green then blue in this scene. The dark for the 'leavy trees' and bushes I did with a throw-away-brush, so called in the shop where sold for 1 EUR! Almost all Bob's techniques were needed to complete this painting, I tried it on canvasboard of 30 x 24 cm.
