So it looks like I suck at taking pic, oh well. I had a really tough time with making the land mass on the right, when I discovered I had made a hill, ok. Love the colors in the sky, couldn't get the puffy clouds I wanted. Don't care much for the back mountain, I think it should have be lighter.

THanks for the encouragement Rebecca. How do I find this Kevin Hill video? That's right, somebody said, when you buy your first brush or paint or canvas you also get an art license!
Try search engine: kevin hill 5 free painting tips ( or something like that)
Bob has episode where he basically scapes off a canvas and paints something else. If you want to push something to background, a glaze can be wonderful. And then painting on top of dry paint really can work. Just search what you think you want. Maybe add free video.... theres LOTs of free help out there

Thank you Stephierae, I'm thinking about going over the furtherest mountain with a glaze to make it lighter an further away. So I could ruin it, or improve it, we shall see ;)

I think its a nice sunset. But, if you are not happy you can go back in when it is dry. An oil painting is not done until you say it is done. And you have art license. If it helps, Kevin Hill has a free video on how to fix stuff that might help.
