Long time ago I tried this one for the first time, but was not very happy with the result, now I did another attempt. Bob said this is an easy one, but I do not fully agree. Tried to get the distant mountain more to the grey by adding more black then blue to avoid getting a green sky. Another challenge was to get the distant lake on the right place. Also the small trees at the foot of the big mountain were not easy to paint a bit realistic. Finally I wanted to reflect the sky a bit in the water, but no blue remained, because the foreground land covered it all. On wallpaper of 29,7 x 21 cm (A4 format).
Thank you Carolyn, hope you have some advantage of my experience, goodluck with your try and curious about your version!
great mts. J
I love your details and the colors in the water. Beautiful
Its annoying when you cover over something you like, but I do see an indication blue creeping in. I take issue with distant trees, I'm trying different options. As always your painting turned out lovely.
