I rushed this one and I wish I'd taken more care. Still enjoyable though.
ADDED PICTURE: I've reworked the rocks a bit as I thought they lacked definition. I've adjusted the wave to try to give it a more pleasing shape.
Thank you so much!
Nice glow on the eye of the wave
Beautiful scene!
The rocks are super super nice! I really like their colour composition. And the detail on the waves too!
Thank you Aaron. I thought they should be a bit darker in places, but I can tweek it later when it's dried down a bit. I'm learning how to fix my not so happy accidents 😂.
Thank you Rebecca and Sandy.
A great depiction of stormy seas!
Thank you Kerri, it was fun.
One small suggestion would be to keep the vanishing point of the waves in mind — your careful brushwork really shines through.
Thank you Jin, much appreciated. You're right, I did notice and it has been bugging me.
Very nice I do oil . Never get the time looks great that well done
Thank you Steve, I appreciate your comment. I always imagine I spend spend more time preparing and cleaning up than some other painting methods and I've grown used enjoy the oil painting process so I've stuck with it. Although other methods are not for me I do appreciate a well turned out pice of work and often wonder how they turn out so good. I think you just have to try other things and stick to what you enjoy the most. Thanks again.

Honestly, if you wouldn't have mentioned that you rushed it I would have never guessed. I think this is beautiful and you did a great job! I love the colour contrast between the water and the rocks. Very powerful!
