June '26: In the middle of the heatwave, the coolest spot in the house turned out to be my mother’s art studio. We decided we might as well do some painting; we could always blame the weather if things didn't go well. But it went great!
To make use of some small left-over canvases, we thought it would be fun to create a sort of diptych. The middle section was a bit tricky, but it sure was a fun challenge. My only real hesitation was whether or not to include the cabin; however, since it would have to be a fairly large building—after all, you can practically jump across the creek—I felt that would be a shame. Happy with my decision... and the result!
(I suck at making pictures, the actual painting has more contrast. Oh well, it's the impression that counts, right?)
Beautiful painted!
