This time I painted with acrylics, this is my version of "silent forest". I got inspired by Petter Hjerpe with his fairy tale paintings with oil. This was nice to do, I spent the whole morning thinking this acrylic will be faster than oil paintings!!! I was wrong!

Enchanting, and hard to believe it's done with acrylics! The figure is a great addition to the scene.
thank you, Helen! while painting I acted as if it was oil painting... same techniques worked: fan brush, knife for the tree trunks, liner for the branches.... just the background was with a sponge.
Thank you Myle, it's seems I've been thinking about it all wrong. I've converted a few other painters acrylic originals to bobs oils and found them rewarding, and relatively easy being an oil painter but I've always found painting landscapes in acrylic close to impossible and I often wonder how you acrylic painters manage to turn anything out, especially when it looks like this. Perhaps I have been needing to work on my thought process for acrylic landscapes instead of thinking I can't do it so it's not for me and giving up on it... I decided to try to improve my oils instead. But you showed me something different and gave me something to think about, and I appreciate that.
